Which treatments do you love doing? The treatment I absolutely love doing is electrolysis. Permanent hair removal or blemish removal can have a profoundly positive impact on both the physical appearance and psychological well-being of women and men, particularly those who have struggled with unwanted hair, moles, broken veins and skin tags and the associated emotional burden.
What do you love about working at Springs? My days in the salon, still, even after so many years really don’t feel like work, the team are amazing – they are fabulous work colleagues and true friends. We are fortunate that we have wonderful clients who have been incredibly supportive of the salon. I don’t see myself giving up any time soon!!
What is your ultimate ambition? My ultimate ambition as a health, wellness, and beauty practitioner is to inspire and empower women to fully embrace their natural beauty and vitality. I dream of guiding women to live long, healthy, and productive lives, where they can find a harmonious balance between work and play. My goal is to help them feel confident and authentic in their own skin, celebrating who they are at every stage of life. By fostering a sense of self-love and well-being, I hope to support women in achieving a life filled with confidence, joy, and fulfilment.
Tell us something about you that might surprise others. I was married in 1982 when I was 17 and Kevin was 18, 42 years later, we’re still going strong! We’ve got two amazing kids, Becca and Matt, who, along with our wonderful son and daughter in-law, have blessed us with five adorable grandkids. Oh, and did I mention I married my hairdresser? So while the rest of the world was experimenting with DIY haircuts during lockdown, I was sitting pretty with perfect highlights! We did feel slightly guilty though enjoying a little giggle at the creative (and sometimes disastrous) picture of the hairdos his clients sent our way.
How would you describe yourself in 3 words? Describing myself in 3 words depends on the role you find me in, some days dedicated, caring, motivated – some days assertive, persistent, but always passionate.
